Building Integrated Renewables

The page demonstrates two simple examples of building integrated renewables that might be implemented into hotels. By previously entering monthly consumption data in the Data Entry spreadsheet the tool has created two hypothetical examples that might occur. These hypothetical examples have been generated using the case study, Jury's Inn Hotel, Glasgow.

The first example uses two 1 killowatt turbines installed on a hotel roof in Glasgow city centre. From the annual consumption data the output is shown, and the percentage this might generate of the total consumption is also shown. As well as output capital costs have been estimated and a payback period is shown.

In the second example a Rain Water Harvesting System has been installed on the roof of a hotel in Glasgow. Using the rainfall data and the case study, the collection and annual consumption data are shown. Resulting is the percentage of consumption and payback period based on estimated capital costs.
